TV/Video Productions


The student is introduced to the television broadcasting industry. History and terminology of the industry are studied through text, video and written response to questions. In this module, four students work as a group to produce a minimum ten- minute video tape of a news broadcast or talk show. Two of the students are responsible for the camera work and technical aspects of mixing and editing. Two of the students are responsible for script writing and acting in the video.

Resources include: video cameras with tripods, audio video mixer, 4 television monitors, a VCR, Television, Osborne, Communication Technology, Barden, Hacker.

Career Path Orientation: Video Camera Technician, News Broadcaster, Actor, Script Writer.
