Radio Broadcasting
The radio broadcasting module leads students through the
history of radio broadcasting. The technological advances that allow radio to be
successful, as well as the marketing aspect of radio, are studied through video and text
as well as written exercises. Students develop and write radio script, including
programming and commercials. A cassette is produced that includes ten songs, five
commercials, and a special guest interview.
Student resources include: Communication Technology, Barden Hacker, an
audio mixer, cassette deck, system receiver, two CD deck players, microphones, headphones.
Career paths include: Radio Broadcasting Engineer, Program Managing, Disc
