MIDI

Students are introduced to Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Students experience MIDI through a synthesizer and Music Time software package. A ten day course of study with video, written response, and musical experiments, lead the students into the challenge section. Two different challenges are available. The challenge path for experienced musicians allows them to compose music and output it to cassette tape. The challenge path for the non-musicians is a tutorial on piano playing.

Resources include: Power Mac 6100, synthesizer with MIDI interface, cassette recorder, Miracle software, Music Time software.
