Bio Tech
Students experience the relationship between industrialization
of the earth and political cooperation levels upon the quality of life.
Students interact with a simulation board that allows them to change industrial growth
and political climates; qualities of life are then calculated by a computer. A series of
earth science experiments are completed that demonstrate global warming and PH levels of
soil. Challenge exercises allow the students to demonstrate their knowledge through a
program known as Sim City. They create their own city and make environmental, as well as,
fiscal and political decisions to create a successful city.
Resources include: Power Mac 6100, S1000 simulation board, AES Exploration
software, Earth Science Experiment Apparatus, Sim City software, Sim City manual
Career Paths Orientation: Soil Scientist, City Planner, Bio Tech Scientist |
