If you have accepted the challenge of Advanced Placement European History, congratulations and good luck.  It takes talent and drive to make the A. P. effort as a sophomore.  You may find the class very difficult and frustrating at times, but it is our goal to assist you along the way.  We always speak of our Advanced Placement classes involving college level expectations with high school level assistance.  Do not hesitate to ask for help.

In conjunction with our study of European history, Mr. Roswell will be leading a student tour group to Europe in the summer of 2008. If you are interested, follow the link below to look at a virtual outline of the tour.

Readings: The textbook used in this class is A History of Western Society by John P. McKay, Bennet D. Hill and John Buckler published by Houghton-Mifflin. The text is available for checkout to you in the textbook room of the Rancho Buena Vista Media Center.  This book is also available for purchase if you want to highlight and write in it.  Required supplemental readings will be handed out in class as well as support materials.  You will receive a syllabus for each unit.  Remember, the date on the syllabus is the date that the assignment is due.

The Advanced Placement Examination in European History certified by the College Board will be administered on the Rancho Buena Vista campus on May 9, 2003.

Class rules and regulations for A.P. European History are on line.
